Here is Blanca's DVD cover image for her instructional program "Sensual Bellydance" - very Venus-like! It's one of those larger-than-life iconic looks. Working with dancers on product cover images is extremely fulfilling: mastery of movement gives our bodies intelligence that translates into precision in conveying our emotional, intellectual and instructional message via body language and pose. "My hips don't lie" - in still image, just like in real life. Body in movement or in a moment of stillness reflects the inner world of the model - the wealth of internal life, intelligence, compassion, human warmth, enthusiasm, openness to share. I find that this depth is crucial: often the cover image is the only channel of communication that introduces to us the author of a book or video. As a consumer of instructional products I need to know that the instructor is intelligent, creative and a fun company before I invite her into my home via her product.
Aw, Blanca is welcome in my home anytime. I can't wait for the DVD! :)

Blanca's style of dancing, the way she looks, her body, her movements are all very Venus like. She invokes all of that, so the picture is perfect.
