Saturday
night - we arrive at Mezzo Mezzo in Astoria, NYC, to celebrate the completion
of filming for Blanca's upcoming "Sensual Bellydance" DVD.
We chose Mezzo Mezzo because Tanna Valentine would be the featured dancer
and Amir Naoum's band would be playing - two massive reasons to go.
And I didn't even mention the food. . The band started playing and Greek
line dancing opened the Saturday night festivities.

Tanna arrived beveiled...She shed 2 veils during the

Tanna finished her show with a beautiful Turkish karsilama and skirt
work.
|
Amir and his band have produced all the music for Tanna's upcoming
DVD "Bellydance - It's Your Show!" The video will teach an
entire mini bellydance show to beginners. A CD containing all the music
will be available separately, too.

Neon, Amir, Blanca: Everybody wants a picture with Amir!
|
|
| Torrentious social dancing followed in a cultural landslide of sound from
Amir's band. |
 |
A quick check of Carmine's six-pack confirmed what we've always suspected:
Carmine has been secretly exercising with Neon's "Bellydance for
Body Sculpting: Abs" DVD!
|
|
| As the night progressed, we were treated to 2 spectacular
male solo dance performances: Debke by Ghassan Fadlallah, a long-time star
of Lebanese folk dance; and a surprise Greek folk dance performance by our
waiter - he is spectacular! Who is this guy? |

What a wonderful summary of a great evening! Thank you all so much for coming -it was a lovely surprise and I really appreciated it.
Note: Giving credit where credit is due, the Perfect-in-10 Abs routine was created by Andy Troy - I just demonstrate the movements. And it is a thorough workout!
